Standing On One Leg

Meekull has been standing on one leg a lot lately. I often see him all fluffed, still as a statue, with his eyes softly opening and closing. I just KNEW something was wrong with him and dreaded finding out what. It turns out, Meekull is relaxed. Birds stand on one leg when they are comfy or sleepy (hence, the slow-blinking eyes). They also do it to cool off, encourage circulation, and give their leg a rest (like we do). All good stuff.
